The Smugglers has recently undergone a 21st century transformation, whilst preserving the original charm and features. During the last few months, droves of local tradesman transformed the Smugglers into an even more pleasant place to eat and drink in.
The main entrance is now down a covered entrance to the left hand side of the building, entering the bar from the side of the building, with a separate entrance for diners.
Take a look at our photo gallery, to see the stages vaious stages of construction and the final appearance.
The bar entrance, having been altered, now enables more tables to be used in the bar, for less informal meals, while the restaurant still provides an excellent setting for a more formal meal.
An upgrade of the facilities includes new toilets for the ladies and inclusion of a disabled toilet and full wheelchair access to all areas.
Why not come along and judge for yourself. Comments from both locals and passing visitors are impressed with the new surroundings, decor and layout.
